Investigation of building performance
Following the 18 September 2012 collapse of the Southland Stadium roof, the Department of Building and Housing commissioned a technical investigation to look at why the roof collapsed. The technical investigation was undertaken jointly by Hyland Fatigue and Earthquake Engineering and StructureSmith and is now complete. The Department has responded to the investigation and its recommendations with its own report and both investigation reports have been published.
